Are you an EU based DJ or US based with time on your hands during the day?

Would you like to work in a venue that

  • Provides a host for you?
  • Does all the ‘marketing’ for its live programme rather than expect you to do it and posts all its shows to SL Events?
  • Has a website and a FaceBook page?
  • Opens during European evenings (4pm til 12 midnight) 7 days a week?
  • Is friendly and welcoming?
  • Lets you keep 100% of your tips?

Then would you like to work for us at ShenaniganS?

Our music programme is varied and our aim is to play music from the 40’s through to today – our only dislike is Rap, Heavy Metal or Trance so basically – anything you’d hear on BBC Radio 2 or one of the Pop radio stations around SecondLife.

If you live in mainland Europe, the UK or the east coast of the USA then we’d like to talk to you – we have permanent slots to offer and we promise – we’re fun to work with! click for more

Harry Hargreaves first show @ Shenanigans

Harry Hargreaves

It’s never an easy thing to do – follow another act onstage and do your ‘thing’ and even more difficult when it’s your first show at a new venue but last night Harry Hargreaves pulled it off admirably.

Harry’s “mission” was to follow Rod Hyx on stage and entertain the crowd that Rod usually attracts – from the first notes of the opening song drifting acrosss the stream it became apparent we were in for an evening of soul. Harry played a surprisingly varied menu of songs and didn’t stick with the well known ‘classics’ – he delved in to Northern Soul and played a couple of numbers by Wigan’s Ovation (have a click if you’ve not heard the name – it’s worth a listen). click for more

Dj Cort owner of Crazy Diamondz plays Wednesdays

Cort gets foxy

More guests are visiting the cafe and remarking how lovely the build is at ShenaniganS and are hanging around to enjoy the ambience and music.

One of our first visitors as we completed the build was our friend Cort who owns Crazy Diamondz (the venue where we’ve played our weekly shows since before last Christmas).

Cort has been DJ’ing some sessions at her own club as a ‘fill in’ and when we asked her to do a session for us – she nearly fell off her chair in shock!

Like all good idea’s though – it took root and eventually blossomed, so this week she said “Yes!” and has agreed to do a session each Wednesday from 12 til 2pm SLT (or from 8pm til 10pm UK time) and will also bring with her from Crazy’s, her friend and host Evan. click for more
